Our Team
Joe Rawlinson
REC’s founder and principal Joe Rawlinson Sr was an icon in the electrical industry in Dallas, Texas for over 60 years. He received his City of Dallas Master Electrical license in 1953. Mr. Rawlinson began his electrical career as a combat Veteran with the US Army Signal Corps in World War II. Afterwards, his experience ranged from the new construction of many downtown Dallas office buildings to high-tech projects such as the General Dynamics headquarters. His industrial experience and multi-office campuses include 19 power plants and facilities such as the 7 IBM campus in Austin, Texas. Even though he passed in 2016, our business model still reflects his high standards.
Josh May
Grandson of Rawlinson Electrical Consultants’ founder and the proprietor is Josh May. As a master electrician and over 20 years of experience in commercial, residential and service maintenance. Josh is involved in every aspect of our business model. His executive duties such as accounting, human resources, and marketing allow him to maintain a hands-on management style. This also allows him the time to nurture his business relationships and to encourage growth for Rawlinson Electrical Consultants in the forever expanding Metroplex.
David Oberlander
Vice President and Chief Estimator is David Oberlander. With a degree in business administration from the University of North Texas and 2 years of classroom training at the IEC in Dallas. David is an expert at assisting to design projects that meet budget and IECC standards. As Chief Estimator, he utilizes state of the art estimating tools which create the most cost-effective estimates for our contractors benefit. His oversight of a project from estimating to project managing guarantees 100% customer satisfaction.
Mario Montoya
Operations Manager and Safety Director is Mario Montoya. He is a licensed Master Electrician with over 35 years of experience. Mario received OSHA 30 certification and has instructed electrical apprentices with the CEF in Dallas. Mario has a strong background in residential, commercial, and light industrial. The T. Boone Pickens Cancer Hospital and the National Guard Armory in Lewisville, Texas are just an example of his strong background with medical related projects and his ability to work with the Corps of Engineers. His responsibilities also require him and his staff to complete projects on time and within budget. As Safety Director, Mario conducts weekly safety training and frequently visits job sites for OSHA standard compliance.
